Around the islands
If you can’t get to the Cayman Islands for Pirates Week, don’t worry! The Cayman Islands are famous for a lot of other cool things, too.
Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman is the Cayman Islands’ most famous beach. Besides restaurants and shops, the beach offers opportunities to enjoy water sports, relax in the sun or have a picnic. And the whole beach is public, so you can walk all seven miles of it!
Get up close and personal with marine life at Stingray City. A boat will take you out to a sandbar, where hundreds of stingrays swim around you. They’re friendly, so you can pet them.
One of the Cayman Islands’ newer attractions is Kittiwake, a sunken rescue ship. It was in service from 1945 to 1994, and in 2011 was safely sunk off the shores of Grand Cayman. Now various forms of marine life are making the wreck their home. You can snorkel or dive around this historical ship.
No matter when you visit the Cayman Islands, you’re sure to have an unforgettable experience!
