Dogs tend to jump up naturally to greet people because they’re eager and excited. While your dog’s intentions are harmless, some people might perceive this behavior as annoying. And it can be particularly dangerous if you have a large dog jumping up on a child or elderly person. The American Kennel Club (AKCⓇ) offers the following tips to help stop your dog from jumping on people.

eager:熱切的、熱心的
intention:意圖、目的
intend:計畫、打算
harmless:無害的
perceive:理解、察覺

Ignore the jumping. The best way to teach your dog not to jump is to show him that jumping won’t get him any attention – positive or negative. Ignore your dog when he jumps on you. Don’t make any eye contact or speak until all four feet are on the floor. At that point, calmly praise your pup.
calmly:平靜地
praise:讚揚、稱讚
pup:幼犬

Personal shopper
What could be better than getting paid to shop? But the catch is – the shopping is for someone else. Busy people who lack fashion sense sometimes hire someone with fashion expertise to hit the stores for them. While there is no schooling required to be a personal shopper, a background in retail sales is an asset. And a personal shopper should have plenty of enthusiasm, energy and patience. In some cases, they may need to shop till they drop!
