Close your eyes and listen to this young artist sing, and you’ll probably think she’s Asian. Yet in reality, Corinna Chamberlain is a blond, blue-eyed Westerner.

Her life began in 1982 in Hong Kong when Chamberlain was born to missionary parents. Her Australian mom and New Zealander father chose not to live in a Western community. Instead, the family lived in a rural part of Hong Kong, where there were few foreigners.

Yet all of that would change in a surprising way – through her music.
